Edge Wise salutes all the skaters representing Line Creek Figure Skating Club at the ISI World Figure Skating Championships in Boston, MA.
Becca Deatherage
This is Becca Deatherage’s 2 nd ISI World competition and her 3 rd ISI International Event. Becca began skating at age 2. She began competing at age 3 and has been hooked ever since.
Becca’s favorite skating jump is the loop and her favorite event to compete in is the character spotlight event.Becca is 7 years old. Her favorite thing about competing is putting on the makeup!
Madeline Mudd
Madeline Mudd is 13 years old and began skating in 2007. She will compete at ISI World Championships at Freestyle 5. This is her first World Championship and she is looking forward to meeting other skaters from around the world. When Madeline is not skating she enjoys dancing and helping out at Edge Wise.
Peyton Wiewel
Peyton is 8 years old and is competing at Freestyle 4 skaters at the ISI World Championship. This is her third Worlds. She previously skated in San Jose and Denver. Peyton loves to skate with girls from all over the world, making new friends and trading pins. She also loves to visit and learn about new cities.
Peyton is competing in over 10 events.
Fiona Junger
Fiona is 7 years old and this is her first World Competition. She is competing Freestyle 3. She has been skating for 4 years – starting at just 3 years old. Her favorite thing about competing is “being on stage”. Fiona loves to perform and loves the costumes. She dreams of someday being an Olympian, having a ton of fun. Fiona is competing in 10 events. With the Rhythmic ribbon event being her favorite.
Juliet Rojas
Juliet is 8 years old and this is her third trip to a World Championship. Each year she works really hard to make it to the World Competition. She has made friends from Manila and Mexico City. Juliet admits to experiencing butterflies before she competes, but once she takes to the ice they all seem to disappear. Juliet is competing at Freestyle 4. Juliette is also competing in over 10 events this year.
Ashley Junger
Ashley is age 16 and skates at Hardees Ice Plex in St. Louis. However, she is accompanying the Line Creek Skaters. She is competing in 3 events at Freestyle 4. Ashley has a passion for just being on the ice. Her forte is spinning and looks forward to skating her entire life.
The team representing Line Creek will be under the direction of Coaches Amy Fankhauser and Shannon Edwards.
